Brentford Keep Unbeaten Run Alive with Late Ajer Equaliser at Villa

Brentford extended their unbeaten start to the 2026‑27 Premier League season by salvaging a 2‑2 draw at Aston Villa. The match was decided in the closing minutes when defender Kristoffer Ajer headed home to level the score.

Villa had taken the lead earlier in the game and were hoping to record their first home win of the campaign. Ajer's strike denied them that milestone and left both sides sharing the points.

The result means Brentford remain unbeaten after two league fixtures, while Aston Villa continue to search for a home victory to boost their early‑season momentum.

Why It Matters

The draw keeps Brentford in the early race for a top‑half finish, while Villa's continued search for a home win highlights the competitive balance at the start of the season.
