Business
SpaceX reported third‑quarter revenue of $14.6 billion, a 161 percent increase from the same period last year, according to the company’s earnings release on Tuesday.
The surge was driven primarily by the firm’s Super Intelligence (SI) segment, which the company says is fueling rapid growth in its AI‑related services, as well as accelerated expansion in its Connectivity business that posted $2.4 billion in operating income.
Despite the overall revenue boost, the Space division recorded a $7 million operating loss, highlighting a contrast between the profitable satellite‑internet operations and the more capital‑intensive launch activities.
Why It Matters
The results underscore how AI and satellite broadband are becoming major revenue sources for aerospace firms, influencing investor outlooks in the US and Europe.
