Verstappen Secures Sprint Pole Over Russell at Singapore GP
Max Verstappen clinches sprint pole at Singapore GP, beating George Russell after Red Bull resolves a car settings issue.

Max Verstappen of Red Bull claimed the sprint pole for the Singapore Grand Prix, edging out Mercedes driver George Russell. The Dutchman posted the fastest time in the sprint qualifying session, putting him at the front of the grid for the upcoming sprint race.
Verstappen’s performance came despite a technical hiccup earlier in the weekend, when the team faced a settings issue that threatened to compromise the car’s setup. Engineers resolved the problem in time for qualifying, allowing the driver to extract a clean lap and secure the top spot.
Russell finished second, keeping Mercedes in contention for sprint points, while Verstappen’s pole position reinforces Red Bull’s strong showing in the Asian leg of the Formula One calendar.
